No. JOPDF works offline for editing, annotating, organizing, protecting PDFs, and even converting files. However, some internet-dependent features, such as live updates, won’t work offline.
Note: The converter needs an internet connection the first time to download and install the converter plugin. Once the plugin is installed, JOPDF can work offline properly.
On Linux, please manually uninstall the old version first, then download and install the latest version from JOPDF Download Center.
The uninstall commands for different Linux distributions are as follows:
- Debian/Ubuntu: sudo apt remove jopdf
- CentOS 8/Fedora: sudo dnf remove jopdf
- CentOS 7: sudo yum remove jopdf
You can install JOPDF for Linux using the following command:
- sudo dpkg -i jopdf-linux-amd64_setup.deb
This command works on Ubuntu, Debian, and Linux Mint.
The download may fail due to network issues, insufficient disk space, or firewall blocking. Try the following solutions:
- Check your network connection.
- Ensure you have at least 200 MB of free space on your C drive.
- Temporarily disable your firewall.
